Workshops on Monitoring PhD Student Progress
This is a series of workshops for the PhD students to show their ongoing doctoral work. This activity is compulsory for all the enrolled students in the PhD programme. They have to prepare and present a poster about their ongoing research plan. Feedback by the attendees and members of the committees will be given. The working language is English.

July, 13, 2016. This workshop focuses on the main facts of the DocTIC PhD Program with a talk given by Prof. Carmen García Mateo, program coordinator. Prof. Domingo Docampo addresses his speech on the growing influence of international academic rankings, and more specifically, on the problems of applying the results of the Shanghai ranking (ARWU), and how to use them as a simple and effective benchmarking tool to analyse individual institutions, such as higher education systems worldwide.
